Follow the steps below to learn how to combine a group of individually scanned documents into one PDF file.
Select Document Scan on the left, then make sure the Data Format setting (in the Save Settings section) is set to PDF (Multiple Pages). Select OK to save your changes.
If you have the Data Format set to PDF and not PDF (Multiple Pages), each page will save as a separate (not combined) PDF file.
If your model has an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and you wish to use this to scan, select Document (ADF Simplex), Document (ADF Manual Duplex), or ADF (Auto Duplex). The ADF options will depend on your model.
Select Document to start scanning.
After the original document scans, you will see the Scan Complete dialog box. To scan more pages, place the next original on the glass surface or in the document feeder and select Scan. When you finish all scans, select Exit.
Your multiple-page PDF will save to the location specified in Save Settings. The default folder on a Mac is Documents. In Windows it's either My Documents or Documents.
