Viewers today have more options than ever for watching live sports. You can cut the cord from cable’s expensive contracts and put together a sports package of your choice on one of the many live TV streaming services, then watch from anywhere on your device of choice.
That means golf lovers have many choices for staying on top of their favorite tournaments. The Golf Channel is available on several streaming services, and it’s easy to put together a plan that fits your needs and meets your budget. Read on to find out how to watch the Golf Channel in 2024.
The Golf Channel is a network devoted to covering the sport of golf. It’s run by NBC Sports, and it features shows, documentaries and major golf events from around the world. You can watch the biggest names in pro golf — from Rory McIlroy to Vu Lilia — competing in marquee events like the LPGA Tour and The Masters.
NBC’s Golf Channel is extremely popular among golf fans and is widely available on streaming networks. Here’s a look at how to stream Golf Channel.
DIRECTV STREAM | Fubo | Hulu + Live TV | Sling TV | YouTube TV | |

DIRECTV STREAM is one of our top picks for live sports, and it’s a great choice for Golf Channel streaming. There are four plan options, the prices of which range from $79.99 to $164.99 a month. You can get as many as 150 channels; all plans except the basic Entertainment plan feature regional sports networks (RSNs). Every DIRECTV STREAM plan has unlimited cloud DVR and no limit on how many devices you can stream on at once on your home network.
Plan | Cost per month | Channels | Simultaneous streams | Free trial |
Entertainment | $79.99 | 75+ | Unlimited at home | Yes |
Choice | $108.99 | 105+ | Unlimited at home | Yes |
Ultimate | $119.99 | 140+ | Unlimited at home | Yes |
Premier | $164.99 | 150+ | Unlimited at home | Yes |
DIRECTV STREAM has one of the best live sports selections of any streaming platform. The basic Entertainment plan only has a few sports channels, but it includes ESPN , ESPN2 and Fox Sports 1 (FS1) for the essentials. However, you must upgrade to the Choice plan or higher to get the Golf Channel.
This plan is a great value for sports fans, as it features your local teams on RSNs, plus over 15 national sports networks for $108.99 a month. Top channels include ESPNU, ESPNEWS, MLB Network, NBA TV, SEC Network, ACCN and more. If you want even more live sports, upgrade to the Ultimate or Premier plans. You can try DIRECTV STREAM free for five days.
If sports are your top priority for live TV streaming, look no further than Fubo. This platform was built for sports fanatics, and it has an impressive selection of entertainment and news programming in the mix. In fact, Fubo has more channels than any other live TV streaming option. Prices range from $79.99 to $99.99 a month, and there is a regional sports fee of up to $14.99 a month. All plans include 1,000 hours of cloud DVR storage and allow you to stream on up to 10 devices simultaneously at home.
Plan | Cost per month | Channels | Simultaneous streams | Free trial |
Pro | $79.99 | 170+ | 10 | Yes |
Elite | $89.99 | 250+ | 10 | Yes |
Ultimate | $99.99 | 260+ | 10 | Yes |
Even though it offers a broad lineup with many popular channels, Fubo is still first and foremost a sports streaming platform. The basic Pro plan features more than 30 sports networks, including the Golf Channel, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, NFL Network, beIN Sports and Big Ten Network. Aside from DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo is the only platform to offer RSNs — and they’re included in the entry-level plan.
Fubo also offers plenty of ways to expand your subscription with more live sports action, whether by upgrading your plan or choosing from its many add-ons. However, there are a few notable omissions that may upset some fans: Fubo doesn’t carry TBS , TNT or TruTV, which carry a fair amount of MLB baseball and NBA and NCAA basketball. It does offer a free trial of up to seven days if you want to give it a test run.
Most live TV streaming platforms also include on-demand content, but none strikes this balance quite like Hulu + Live TV. That’s because a subscription includes Hulu’s library, over 90 channels, and Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. For $76.99 a month, that’s an excellent mix of live and on-demand programming. You’ll also get unlimited cloud DVR and two simultaneous streams.
Plan | Cost per month | Channels | Simultaneous streams | Free trial |
Hulu + Live TV, Disney Plus and ESPN Plus | $76.99 | 90+ | 2 | No |
Hulu + Live TV, Disney Plus and ESPN Plus | $89.99 | 90+ | 2 | No |
Hulu + Live TV, Disney Plus and ESPN Plus | $81.99 | 90+ | 2 | No |

Hulu + Live TV’s all-around mix may be its biggest draw, but it’s also a great choice for how to stream Golf Channel and plenty of other live sports. It features popular channels like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPNU, FS1, SEC Network, ACCN, Big Ten Network and NFL Network. There are more than a dozen sports channels in all plans, and you can add a few more with the Sports Add-on.
Hulu + Live TV doesn’t offer RSNs in most markets, so it may not work for following your local teams. However, it’s priced well enough to subscribe directly to a service like Bally Sports Plus and keep your cost under $100 a month. Considering that Hulu + Live TV might keep you from subscribing to several other on-demand platforms, that’s a pretty impressive value.
Sling TV is our go-to for streaming live sports on a budget — especially since it’s so easy to customize an affordable plan. Subscriptions start at just $40 a month, and you can add the Sports Extra add-on for between $11 and $15 per month to get the Golf Channel and more than 10 other sports networks. All Sling plans include 50 hours of cloud DVR storage, so you can record any must-see rounds of golf you can’t watch live.
Plan | Cost per month | Channels | Simultaneous streams | Free trial |
Blue | $40 | 32+ | 3 | No |
Orange | $40 | 40+ | 1 | No |
Orange & Blue | $55 | 46+ | 1–3 | No |
Sling TV’s best feature is the option to choose a plan and add-ons that include the sports channels you want most. For the most affordable way to stream the Golf Channel, you can choose Sling Blue with the Sports add-on for $51 a month. This package will also get you sports on channels like NFL Network, FS1, TBS, TNT, TruTV, MLB Network, NBA TV, NHL Network and Tennis Channel.
For even more live sports, you can upgrade to Sling Orange & Blue with the Sports Extra add-on for $70 a month. This adds ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ACCN, SEC Network, ESPNU and more to your plan. Unfortunately, you can’t get any RSNs on Sling. However, its affordable pricing may allow you to add a subscription to your RSN without breaking the bank. There’s no free trial, but Sling often offers half off your first month.
Finally, YouTube TV is another great option for Golf Channel streaming. Its base plan offers one of the best channel mixes of any platform, featuring a nice mix of sports, news and entertainment. For $72.99 a month, you’ll get more than 110 of the most popular channels, plus unlimited cloud DVR storage and the option to stream on up to three screens at once.
Plan | Cost per month | Channels | Simultaneous streams | Free trial |
Base Plan | $72.99 | 110+ | 3 | Yes |
YouTube TV may not quite be in the same league as DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo for live sports, but it certainly holds its own. It offers a strong lineup of national and international sports events on networks like the Golf Channel, ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network, FS1, NBA TV, NFL Network, Big Ten Network and ACCN. You can add even more sports with extra channel add-ons or subscriptions to full-season plans for the NFL and NBA.
Unfortunately, YouTube TV doesn’t offer RSNs, so you can’t watch games from your local market here. Still, given its low starting price, it’s possible to pair YouTube TV with an over-the-top RSN subscription for under $100 a month and get one of the most complete, cable-like streaming plans around. You can try YouTube TV for free for up to two weeks.
There is no Golf Channel app, but NBC offers a service called GolfPass, which features live golf events and many other features to connect fans and golfers to the sport, including tee time credits. A GolfPass subscription is included with a subscription to Peacock, and the GolfPass app is available for iOS and Android devices. You can also get the app on Apple TV and Roku devices.
A Peacock subscription includes many of the events that air on the Golf Channel, plus GolfPass, but you can’t find everything from the network on NBC’s over-the-top platform. For a full list of golf events you can stream on Peacock, see its website.
Amazon Prime offers a PGA Tour Live Channel as an add-on to your normal subscription. You can access a few select holes on the weekends with your standard Prime membership, but you’ll need to subscribe to the PGA Tour channel for full access.
You won’t find the Golf Channel on standard YouTube, but the network is included in a basic YouTube TV subscription. Plans start at $72.99 a month, and you’ll have full access to Golf Channel streaming.
